Lore
Placeholder. The island's full story is still being written.
Far out in a warm sea there is an island shaped like a six-pointed star. Its middle is a quiet meadow, and around the meadow lie nineteen places: rivers and lakes, forests and jungle, ice, fire, sand, and salt water.
You arrive in the meadow with very little. A small green gecko watches from a boulder. It will not come closer until you have a shelter, some food, and a few tools of your own.
Once it does, the island starts to open. Each place has a companion of its own, and each one is won in its own way: a fish for the otter, a tune for the narwhal, a slide mended for the penguin. Nobody knows yet how they all came to the island, or who lived here before you.
