Privacy policy
Draft of 23 October 2026. The policy in force today is the one linked from inside the game.
Geckohana ("we") is a farming and survival game played in a web browser at play.geckohana.com. This page says what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We collect very little.
Playing as a guest
If you play without signing in, your island is saved only in your own browser on your own device. We do not receive it. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
Signing in
If you choose to sign in, we store what we need to keep your island and let you return to it from other devices:
- Google or Discord: the account id that service gives us. We ask only for that id, not your contacts, posts, or messages. We do not ask Google for your email address.
- A wallet: your public wallet address, after you sign a message to prove it is yours. Signing a message is not a transaction: it moves nothing and costs nothing. We never ask for your private key or recovery phrase.
- Your island: your game saves, your profile choices, and, if you link a wallet, your confirmation that you are 18 or over.
- Later, for coins and $PETAL: the date and version of the terms you accepted, your coin and $PETAL balances, and their history.
Cookies
We use one session cookie to keep you signed in. It is set only on play.geckohana.com, lasts up to 30 days, and ends when you sign out. While you are signing in, a few short-lived cookies carry the sign-in round trip and are then cleared. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. This landing site sets no cookies.
Hosting and logs
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare handles your IP address and basic request details to serve the pages and protect them from abuse, and may keep short-lived logs and anonymous visit counts.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not show advertising or use advertising trackers.
- We do not take payments today. If that changes, this page will say so first, along with who handles the payment.
Keeping and deleting
- We keep a signed-in island while your account exists.
- Delete island (in your profile) erases your island's saves and keeps your account.
- Delete account erases your account and all its data at once.
- You can also unlink a sign-in, or ask us to delete everything (see the support page).
Age
You must be at least 13 to sign in, or older where the law of your country sets a higher age. Money and wallets are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13; if you believe a child has signed in, tell us and we will delete their island.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
