Terms of service

Draft of 23 October 2026. The terms in force today are the ones linked from inside the game.

These terms are the agreement between you and Geckohana ("we") for playing the game at play.geckohana.com. By playing, you agree to them.

1. Who can play

• You must be at least 13 to play, or older where the law of your country sets a higher age for using online services without a parent's consent. If you are under 18, you should have a parent's or guardian's permission.
• Coins, $PETAL, and wallets are for adults only. You must be 18 or over to buy coins, to earn $PETAL, to link a wallet to your account, or to sign in with one.
• You must accept these terms before you buy coins or earn $PETAL. We record the date and the version you accepted on your account.

2. Your account

• You can play as a guest, or sign in with Google, Discord, or a wallet. Keep access to your sign-in: we cannot recover an island whose only sign-in you have lost.
• One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• Delete island (in your profile) erases your island's saves and keeps your account and its sign-ins. Delete account erases your account and all its data at once.

3. Your island and saves

A guest island is saved only in your own browser. A signed-in island is also saved on our server, which keeps your most recent saves. The game is in testing: features, numbers, and items can change, and we may sometimes need to reset islands. The game is provided "as is", without promises that it will always be available or free of mistakes.

4. Coins and $PETAL

The game has two balances. Neither is available to buy or earn yet.

• Coins are digital, closed-loop licences for virtual goods inside the game. They are not your personal property, have no cash value, and live only in our own database.
• All coin purchases are final. Coins are non-refundable and cannot move between accounts. We never convert, redeem, or exchange coins back into money (such as US dollars) or into any cryptocurrency.
• $PETAL is a balance you carry in the game, as you carry coins: a keepsake for playing, with no promise of any value. It is earned only through play: effort, risk, or achievement. We never sell $PETAL.
• $PETAL has no cash value. It cannot be withdrawn, sold back to us, or turned into money or cryptocurrency, and it cannot move between accounts.
• Coins never become $PETAL, and there is no exchange rate between the two.
• $PETAL is not offered as an investment or a promise of profit. We have no duty to buy it back or redeem it.

5. Wallets, losses, and making things right

• Linking a wallet is an optional account feature for players 18 and over. If you link one, you alone are responsible for keeping it safe. We never ask for your private key or recovery phrase.
• If your island's data on our server is damaged or misused through a bug, a server fault, or unauthorised access, we will restore your account and your progress.
• Anything lost to a bug, an exploit, or a server rollback is made good in coins, or in bound items that cannot be traded and do the same job in the game. We never replace a loss with new $PETAL.

6. Fair play

• No bots, macro scripts, farming emulators, or other software that plays for you: not for survival tasks, farming, or event entries.
• No extra accounts or throwaway wallets to get around the game's limits or to collect rewards more than once.
• If we find cheating, exploiting, or economic manipulation, we may freeze balances, close accounts, and block wallet addresses from signing in.
• Do not use the game to harm others or attack the site. Please tell us about bugs instead of using them.

7. What is ours

The game, its art, words, and code belong to us. You may share screenshots and videos of your play.

8. Limits

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss of game progress, arising from your use of the game.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and its date, and ask you to accept the new version before your next coin purchase or $PETAL reward.
